Lay Leader

Education

I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BA - major in English, minor in Education.  I earned a MA from Brigham Young University in Special Education.  I later was certified as an Educational Specialist, Educational Diagnostician, and School Psychologist

Experience

I worked in several school systems in Wyoming as an Educational Specialist, Special Education Teacher and School Psychologist.  After I retired I entered private practice as a School Psychologist, and continued to provide services to several small school districts in Wyoming, particularly on the Wind River Indian Reservation.

Family Information

I have three sons who live in Denver, Seattle, and Wyoming, and a daughter-in-law and precious granddaughter in Seattle.  I am married to Ross Hauck who has five wonderful adult children - Greta, Mike, Kristen, Rob and Steve.

Favorite Movie

There are so many - but two of my favorites come to mind - Gettysburg and Saving Private Ryan.  In both of these movies the stars represent real people who faced very fearful circumstances where the only possible salvation lay in putting aside their fear and moving forward into the battle.

Favorite Book

I have always loved Dr. Zhivago.  More current favorites are Still Alice and The Book Thief.

Favorite Bible Verse

Micah 6:8 -- "He has shown you what is good, and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God."
